IN the Women’s EYHL, Ulster Elks secured a crucial three points with a win at home to Catholic Institute lifting them out of the relegation zone. UCD returned to winning ways with a confident win at home to Old Alex, forcing their opposition into the bottom two. And Railway Union grabbed a narrow 1-0 win over Pembroke to continue their winning form.
Bethany Scott opened the scoring for Elks in the third minute with Roybn Chambers on target in the 46th minute. Roisin Begley made it a tense finsh, pulling one back for Catholic Institute in the 54th.
In the Women’s EYHL2, Ards, Avoca, and UCC all made it two wins from two with wins over Belfast Harlequins, Trinity Ladies’, and Lisnagarvey respectively, to maintain their place at the top of the table. University of Galway scored in the dying embers of their encounter with Cork Harlequins to grab their first win of the campaign.
