CLIFTONVILLE Ladies have announced the return of Northern Ireland international Danielle Maxwell.
The 22-year-old, who was awarded the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Year for the 2023 season, is rejoining the Reds after a brief spell at Blackburn Rovers.
Maxwell netted 14 times for Cliftonville last year and scored on her debut for Rovers.
The midfielder, subject to international clearance, will help Cliftonville attempt to regain the Premiership title after Glentoran were the impressive victors of the title last year.
The season gets underway on Sunday with last year’s runners-up travelling to face Mid Ulster at Stangmore Park, 5 o’clock kick-off.
