JUNIOR DIVISION 1 WINNERS, ST RONAN'S

 

SOUTH Lake Leisure Centre, Craigavon, hosted the Netball Northern Ireland Schools’ National League Junior and Minor Finals, bringing together the top performing schools from across the country to compete for the national titles.

Four finals were contested across the Junior and Minor divisions, with schools progressing through district leagues and knockout stages to reach the national finals.

RESULTS

Junior Division 1 Final
St Ronan’s College 23 v 10 Wallace
Umpires: Leeann McWilliams and Sonya Thomson

St Ronan’s College delivered a strong performance to secure the Junior Division 1 National League title, overcoming Wallace in an impressive display on court.

Junior Division 2 Final
Sullivan 32 v 11 Ulidia
Umpires: Betty Wilson and Andi Magee

Sullivan produced an excellent team performance to claim the Junior Division 2 title, defeating Ulidia in the opening final of the day.

Minor Division 1 Final
St Dominic’s Grammar School 29 v 07 Friends School Lisburn
Umpires: Leeann McWilliams and Sonya Thomson

St Dominic’s Grammar School secured the Minor Division 1 championship with a dominant display against Friends School Lisburn.

Minor Division 2 Final
Lumen Christi 18 v 14 St Dominic’s Grammar B
Umpires: Betty Wilson and Andi Magee

A closely contested final saw Lumen Christi emerge victorious to lift the Minor Division 2 title following a competitive match against St Dominic’s Grammar B.

Netball Northern Ireland would like to thank South Lake Leisure Centre for hosting the event, as well as the umpires, table officials, coaches, schools and supporters who contributed to a fantastic day of schools netball.

The continued growth of secondary school netball across Northern Ireland is reflected in the high standard of competition and the increasing number of schools participating in the Schools’ National League.
