TWO women’s games closed out the weekend’s EY Hockey League action for Round 14 as Railway Union continued their unbeaten start to 2026, while Portadown and Pembroke shared the points in their battle for sixth.
A positive journey north for Railway Union saw the Dublin side secure a confident 3-0 win over their hosts Pegasus. An ideal start saw Railway lead after just six minutes thanks to Niamh Gowing before a quick fire double from Aisling Utri in the final quarter put the game beyond reach of Pegasus.
Nearby in Edenvilla, Portadown and Pembroke Wanderers shared the points after the sides drew 1-1 in a tense affair. Portadown took home the bonus point from the shootout, with Rebekah Lennon holding her nerve to score the decisive shootout in sudden death.
