Friday night wins for Cliftonville Ladies and Lisburn Rangers in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership… story and pictures

CLIFTONVILLE Ladies claimed the North Belfast derby honours with a three-goal defeat of Crusaders Strikers at Seaview.

Teegan Lynch opened the scoring for the Reds on 13 minutes when she lifted the ball over keeper Sophie Glover after received a cross from Aoibhe O’Neill.

Cliftonville doubled their advantage just after the hour with a fantastic finish from Kirsty McGuinness (above) from 14 yards from a Marissa Callaghan pass.

And Lynch completed the scoring with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining with her second of the evening with a strike into the corner of the net.

Two first half goals proved enough for Lisburn Rangers to defeat Derry City Women 2-0 at Crewe Park.

Rangers needed just eight minutes to move in front when Gracie Conway found the net with her fifth goal of the campaign.

Tierna Bell then doubled up to ultimately complete the scoring six minutes from the break.
