LINFIELD Women hit five goals without reply past Lisburn Ladies at Midgley Park to move top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership, a point clear of Glentoran who have two games in hand.
The Blues edged in front with just under a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock through Mia Fitzsimmons before half-time substitute Alex Clarke made an instant impact to double the home advantage moments into the second half.
Cora Chambers, now the league’s leading scorer, added a third on 65 minutes before, nine minutes after that, Eva Myles finished at the near post to make it 4-0.
Clarke then completed the scoring with her second of the evening with seven minutes remaining.
