LGFA weekend previews with knock-out slots up for grabs on pivotal stage in TG4 All-Ireland Championships …all the fixtures, match times, venues and line-ups

Compiled by Jackie Cahill

THE 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Championships continue over the coming weekend – with crucial fixtures in store across all three grades.

In the Senior Championship, some of the big hitters, including holders Kerry, will aim to wrap up quarter-final slots on Saturday.

By close of play on Sunday, all eight Intermediate quarter-finalists will have been confirmed, ahead of Monday’s draw to determine the last eight pairings.

And the Junior groupings will continue to take shape – with two games scheduled in each pool.

The Senior provincial derbies, namely Kildare against Meath and Cork at home to Kerry, will both be available to view on TG4, and also online via the TG4 Player: https://www.tg4.ie/en/player/watch-live/home/, while the Donegal-Galway and Dublin-Leitrim ties are scheduled for live coverage on the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SportTG4/streams

The Junior clash between one of the competition favourites, Antrim, and visitors London is also available as a live-stream on Saturday, as is the case with Sunday’s pivotal Intermediate clash between hosts Roscommon and Fermanagh.

Saturday June 14

TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship

Group 1: Donegal v Galway; Naomh Padraig, Lifford, 2pm – Live on Spórt TG4 YouTube

A key game for both sides in the quest for a quarter-final slot.

A win for Galway will guarantee top spot for the Tribeswomen – and a home tie in the last eight.

This is Donegal’s first game in the All-Ireland series – and their first taste of competitive fare since losing to Armagh in the TG4 Ulster Senior Final on May 10.

Donegal have made three changes in personnel as they prepare for their first outing in the All-Ireland series, with Blaithnaid McLaughlin, Rhiona McColgan and Eva Gallagher coming in for Niamh Carr, Ava Walsh and Mia Bennett.

Galway have made four changes following victory over Tipperary, with Aoife Molloy, Lynsey Noone, Ailbhe Davoren and Andrea Trill handed starts.

Chellene Trill, Shauna Hynes (who went off injured early on against Tipp), Kate Thompson and Kate Slevin drop out of the Galway team for this one.

Donegal: C Friel; S McFadden, A Temple Asokuh, S McFeeley; B McLaughlin, E McGinley, C Gillespie; R Rodgers (capt.), R McColgan; S White, K Dowds, F McManamon; E Gallagher, J McFadden, N Boyle.

Galway: D Gower; B Quinn, S Ní Loingsigh, K Geraghty; N Noone, N Ward, A Molloy; L Ward, S Divilly; L Noone, O Divilly, A Davoren; E Noone, L Coen, A Trill.

Group 2: Cork v Kerry; Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, 2.30pm – Live on TG4

Kerry got their All-Ireland series campaign off to a winning start against Mayo – but they had to work hard for a six-point win.

Now it’s a clash with old rivals Cork – and a first competitive meeting between the sides since Kerry won by six points during the round-robin series of the Munster Championship.

This is Cork’s first outing in the TG4 All-Ireland Championship and the Leesiders are back in action for the first time since losing to Waterford in the Munster Championship in May.

There are four changes to the Cork team that lined out against Waterford, with captain Sarah Leahy, Sadbh McGoldrick, Abbie O’Mahony and Hannah Looney coming in.

Out go Dara Kiniry, Erika O’Shea, who’s now in Australia, Katie Horgan and Libby Coppinger.

Following their six-point win against Mayo, Kerry have shuffled their pack, with four changes to the starting line-up.

Deirdre Kearney, Aoife Dillane, Danielle O’Leary, who made a big impact off the bench against the Westerners, and Rachel Dwyer all come in to start, as Róisín Rahilly, captain Cáit Lynch, Katie Brosnan and Jaydn Lucey drop out of the team.

A win for Kerry would see them through to the quarter-finals – and guarantee a home tie in the last eight.

Cork: S Murphy; S Kelly, S Leahy (capt.), M Duggan; S McGoldrick, S Cronin, R Corkery; M O’Callaghan, A Healy; A O’Mahony, L O’Mahony, E Cleary; A O’Sullivan, H Looney, K Quirke.

Kerry: M.E. Bolger; E Lynch, D Kearney, F O’Donoghue; A O’Connell, E Costello, A Dillane; M O’Connell, A Galvin; N Carmody, N Ní Chonchúir, C Evans; D O’Leary, R Dwyer, S O’Shea.

Group 3: Kildare v Meath; Hawkfield Centre of Excellence, 12.45pm – Live on TG4

This one could be really interesting – as Leinster rivals Kildare and Meath renew acquaintances.

In early May, Meath pipped Kildare by just a single point to advance to the TG4 Leinster Final – and another close encounter is potentially on the cards.

Meath rallied from four points down to secure a draw with Armagh in Round 1 and that could turn out to be a priceless result when the dust settles on the group stages.

This is a first competitive outing for Kildare since that Meath defeat in the provincial championship and the stakes are high.

There are three changes to the Kildare team that lined out against the Royals in Leinster, with Claire Sullivan, Lara Curran and Ellen Dowling replacing Laura Dunlea, Siofra Galvin and Neasa Dooley.

Meath are unchanged after late heroics salvaged a point against Armagh.

Kildare: M Hulgraine; R Sargent, L Lenehan (capt.), M Doherty; L Shaw, L Murtagh, M Aspel; C Sullivan, C Moran; C Wheeler, A Rattigan, L Curran, E Dowling; E Dowling, A Prizeman, R Byrne.

Meath: R Murray; A Sheridan, M.K. Lynch, K Newe; A Cleary (capt.), S Wall, K Kealy; O Sheehy, M Farrelly; M Thynne, N Gallogly, C Smyth; E Duggan, V Wall, K Cole.

Group 4: Dublin v Leitrim; Parnell Park, 2pm – Live on Spórt TG4 YouTube

Dublin claimed a valuable point against Waterford last time out and a win here would guarantee a quarter-final slot for the Sky Blues.

Leitrim begin their TG4 All-Ireland series on the back of a Connacht campaign that saw them run Mayo to three points, before they were well beaten by Galway.

Dublin are unchanged after rallying against the Déise to avoid defeat, while Leitrim make two changes following their last outing against Galway.

Jasmine Maye and Muireann Devaney come into the team for the Connacht side, with Edel Shanley and Síomha Quinn making way.

If Dublin do claim maximum points here, it’ll come down to the final group clash between Leitrim and Waterford to see who joins them in the last eight.

Dublin: A Shiels; J Tobin, L Caffrey, N Crowley; S Goldrick, M Byrne, A Curran; É O’Dowd, H McGinnis; A Timothy, C Rowe (capt.), S McIntyre; H Tyrrell, N Hetherton, K Sullivan.

Leitrim: M Guckian; J Maye, C Tyrell, E Quigley; S Reynolds, C Owens, R McIntyre; N Tighe, A Quinn; A Gilmartin, V Egan, A Clancy; L Fox, M Devaney, L O’Dowd.

TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship

Group B: Antrim v London; Tír na nÓg, Randalstown, 1pm – Live at: https://www.247.tv/live/londonlgfa

Antrim got off to a flier with a big win over Longford in Round 1.

And the Saffrons will be heavy favourites to get the better of London, who lost out to Carlow in their opening game.

Antrim: A Devlin; G Shannon, G McGroarty, A Kelly; N McIntosh, M Blaney, M Mulholland; A Mulholland, A Turley; T Mellon, M O’Neill, O Dahunsi; B Devlin (capt.), B Nic Cathail, L Adams.

London: E Mooney; O Reilly (capt.), L Harrold, K Allenby; R McKegney, C Cottrell, A Spain; E Creedon, A Healy; C Flanagan, E Gray, A McLoughlin; E Bartley, A Ryan, M Harney-Nolan.

Group A: Limerick v Derry; Newcastlewest, 6pm

Limerick have some work to do if they’re to claim one of the two semi-final spots from Group A.

After winning well against Derry in Round 1, the Shannonsiders suffered a defeat to Louth last time out.

Derry are preparing for their second game in the group, having lost out to table-toppers Sligo in Round 1.

Limerick: S Hennessy; S Dillon, Y Lee (capt.), J McGuire; M MacNamara, L O’Brien, G Lee; O Ryan, K O’Leary; C McGrath, R Delee, C McNamara; D Murphy, C Mee, R Ambrose.

Derry:  T Cassidy; C Dillon, G Brewster, J Corr; A Gormley, S Hargan, B Donnelly; K Hargan, A Crozier (capt.); N Hannon, A Ní Lochlainn, A Martin; A McAlister, C Donnelly, N O’Donnell.

Sunday June 15

TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship

Group 1: Roscommon v Fermanagh; Kiltoom, 2pm – Live on LGFA Facebook and YouTube

With Laois already qualified – and as table-toppers – this one is a straight shoot-out for second place in the group.

Roscommon have home advantage and will hope to make that count but they won’t get anything easy from Fermanagh, last year’s TG4 All-Ireland Junior champions.

In the event of a draw, the team registering the most points (scores over the bar) will progress and if they still can’t be split after that, it’ll come down to overall score difference.

Ahead of throw-in, it’s Roscommon who just about have the edge, on -7 compared to Fermanagh’s -8.

Roscommon: H Cummins; M Kelly, R Brady, S Wynne; N Feeney, R Lennon, M McKeon; E Irwin, A Curran; N Watson, S McGuinness, L Mannion (capt.); A Hanly, E Thompson, C Lennon.

Fermanagh: A Haren; S McQuade (capt.), C Clarke, E Keenan; A O’Brien, C Murphy, C Bogue; S Feeley, M McGloin; A McCarney, C Martin, L Maguire; J Doonan, E Smyth, N McManus.

Group 2: Tyrone v Westmeath; Stewartstown Harps GFC, 2pm

Tyrone and Westmeath are both safely through to the quarter-finals, having achieved victories over Down.

Now, the teams will battle it out to determine top spot in Group 2 – and a home quarter-final.

Tyrone and Westmeath are both viewed as live contenders for TG4 All-Ireland Championship glory – and they’ll remain in the hunt for glory irrespective of Sunday’s result.

In the event of a draw, the team registering the most points (scores over the bar) will top the table and if they still can’t be split after that, it’ll come down to overall score difference.

Ahead of throw-in, it’s Tyrone who just about have the edge, on +3 compared to Westmeath’s +2.

Tyrone: A Coyle; J Lyons, G McKenna, E Quinn; S McCarroll, M Moore, C Canavan; A McHugh, M Mallon; E McNamee, S Gormley, A Horisk; N O’Neill, C McCrossan, C Colton.

Westmeath: A Temple; Lara McCartan, S Murphy, F Coyle (capt.); C Gonoud, L Power, S Buckley; V Carr, A Roche; Lucy McCartan, S Dillon, T Dillon; G Byrne, A Jones, C Kilmurray.

Group 3: Wicklow v Monaghan; Baltinglass, 3.45pm

This is must-win territory for Wicklow as they prepare for Sunday’s clash with Monaghan.

And the Garden County have to win big if they’re to progress to the quarter-finals.

A victory for Wicklow would see all three teams in the group locked together on three points.

Cavan have the best scoring difference with +18, followed by Monaghan on +1 and Wicklow on -19.

A win or a draw for Monaghan would see the Farney County top the group and secure a home quarter-final, with Cavan advancing in second place.

Wicklow: E Griffin; S Evans, SJ Winders, M Corr; I Ledesma, S Goetelen, L Dunne; A Keegan, A Gorman; N Cullen, S Byrne, E O’Keane; A Harmon, S McGettigan, H Dowling.

Monaghan: O Kelly; C Brennan, S Brady, A Loughman; G Hanratty, J Duffy, A Garland (capt.); A Burns, N Flannagan; L Garland, C Treanor, L Connolly; E Sherry, A Clarke, S Corley.

Group 4: Wexford v Clare; Chadwicks Wexford Park, 2pm

Wexford and Clare are both safely through to the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship quarter-finals.

These are two teams who will harbour hopes of going all the way and securing a home quarter-final would represent a huge boost along the way.

That’s the prize on offer for the winners of Sunday’s game at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

In the event of a draw, the team registering the most points (scores over the bar) will top the table and if they still can’t be split after that, it’ll come down to overall score difference.

Ahead of throw-in, it’s Wexford who just about have the edge, on +17 compared to Clare’s +15.

Wexford: S Cloake; K English, S McCarthy, K Dempsey; C Banville, A Halligan, M Byrne; C Donnelly, R Murphy (capt.); S Hamilton, C Murray, O Byrne; A Neville, T Doyle, C Foxe.

Clare: A Lenihan; E O’Malley, G Harvey, R Doohan; S Melican, J Doohan, E Burke; T Collins, R Martin; M Downes, C Moloney, L Conway; E McNamara, E Hanrahan, C Harvey (capt.).

TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship

Group A: Louth v Kilkenny; Integral GAA Grounds, Drogheda, 1pm

In a competitive five-team group, Louth’s victory over Limerick in their opening game could turn out to be a pivotal result.

The Wee County, who contested last year’s Final, will be fancied to make it two wins from two when they face Kilkenny in Drogheda.

Louth: R Lambe Fagan; R Beirth, E Hand, E Murray; S Matthews, S McLaughlin, L Byrne; Á Breen, A Halligan; L White, E Byrne, A Russell; L Collins, K Flood, C Nolan.

Kilkenny: J Flynn; D Tervit-Kruger, A Galwey, S Dunne; S Mooney, Riona Crowley, L Brett; Ruth Crowley, S Smith; N Ward, K Purcell, J O’Keefe (capt.); S Corcoran, E Devoy, K Ryan.

Group B: Longford v Carlow, Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, 2pm

Longford will be keen to bounce back after suffering a big defeat to in-form Antrim in their group opener.

But they’ll get nothing easy from Carlow, who were big winners against London last weekend.

The sides last met in the round-robin stages of the Leinster Championship, when Carlow finished strongly to claim a three-point win.

Longford: A Cooney; G Kenny, L Keegan, A Brady; C McCormack, E O’Brien (capt.), E Duggan; S Gallagher, A O’Brien; S O’Hagan, K Crawford, E O’Reilly; K Burke, C Lohan, L McGuire.

Carlow: N Hanley; S McCullagh, A Carroll, K Tunstead; T Lyons, B Nolan, R Bermingham; R Bailey (capt.), E Ware; B Nolan, E Hayden, E Molloy; A Webb, C Ní Shé, K Burke.
