LARNE Women have strengthened their squad with a quartet of new signings ahead of the 2025 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership kick off.
Tazmin Watson, Aoife McCann, Leah Wilgaus and Mia Little have all put pen to paper at Inver Park, adding quality and fresh ambition to Daniel Carlisle’s squad as preparations for the new season continue to build.
Tazmin Watson arrives afters spells at Cliftonville, Glentoran and Linfield with a strong reputation as a commanding and composed midfielder.
Aoife McCann adds creativity and flair in midfield. Signed from Ballyclare Comrades in the NIWFA Championship, Aoife brings energy, vision and a sharp eye for a pass, helping to link defence and attack in Carlisle’s evolving side.
Leah Wilgaus joins from Lisburn Ladies for her second spell at the club. Having originally joined the team in October 2022 from Crusaders Strikers, Leah played an important role during Larne’s first season in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership, scoring in the Inver Women’s first ever top-flight win away to Derry City.
And finally, Mia Little has put pen to paper at Inver Park and will officially join up with the squad in June. Mia has had previous spells with Lisburn Rangers and Mossley Hill in England, while also making appearances for the Northern Ireland youth squads up to U19 level.
Manager Daniel Carlisle said: “We’re thrilled to welcome four incredible new signings to the squad — each bringing their own talent, passion, and hunger to succeed. With this injection of quality and ambition, the team is strong and ready to take on the challenges ahead. The journey continues, and we’re just getting started.”
Larne will begin their 2025 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership campaign on the road on Friday, May 9 as they travel to face Lisburn Rangers.
