QUEEN’S University reclaimed top spot with an 8-0 win over bottom of the league Banbridge in the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League.
The league leaders and champions got off to flying start with strikes from Jodie Simmons, Zoe Wilson and Kaia Moore firing the side into a quick 3-0 lead.
Things went from bad to worse for Banbridge with Queen’s being awarded a penalty stroke before the half-time break with Ellie Montgomery converting from the spot.
In the second half, two goals from Jenna McCarlie alongside Zoe Wilson, wrapping up her hat-trick, saw the side ramp up an 8-0 scoreline and rounded off a perfect afternoon for the side.
The win sees the students go three points clear at the top with title rivals Portadown being out of league action this weekend.
