Ulster U15 hockey girls compete in National Festival in Dublin

ULSTER Hockey was represented by three teams and 46 players at this year’s U15 National Festival in Rathdown, Dublin with the girls first in action.

The National Festival is an important event within the sport’s player pathway.

For the U15 players, it was a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against strong opposition, and continue their development both on and off the pitch.

The festival also allowed players to build new connections and further develop key skills such as teamwork, communication and decision making.

The format of not keeping scores ensured the emphasis remained firmly on learning and enjoyment and taking on new challenges without the pressure of results.

Across all three Ulster teams, there were excellent displays of skill, attitude, and work rate throughout the festival and they should be very proud.

Ulster Hockey sends a huge thank you to all coaches, staff, and parents for their support throughout the weekend, and special thanks to Leinster Hockey for organising such a well-run and enjoyable event. The standard of organisation and delivery created an excellent experience for all players, coaches, and supporters involved.

Well done to all 46 athletes on a brilliant Sunday of hockey and development.

This coming Sunday, the Ulster U15 boys will travel to Rathdown to participate in the same event, with three squads set to represent the province.
