Ports face Corinthians in tie of the round
THE world’s oldest club hockey cup, the AIG Irish Senior Cup, is set to commence fully on Saturday, February 15, as the Women’s and Men’s competitions Knockout 16 round will see 15 matches take place across the provinces.
ln the Women’s Competition, Corinthian host Portadown in the tie of the round with both sides enjoying excellent runs of form.
Ulster Elks face Ards, and Pegasus host Queen’s in all-Ulster matchups while Pembroke and Monkstown go head-to-head in an all-Leinster fixture.
Elsewhere Belfast Harlequins will welcome Catholic Institute to Deramore Park, Loreto take on Cork Harlequins, and UCC take on UCD in three cross-province matches.
The Women’s and Men’s Irish Hockey Trophy will also play their Quarter Final Round, along with fixtures in the Irish Hockey Challenge.
