YET another honour for Danielle Maxwell!
The 23-year-old Northern Ireland international has now been named Women’s Ulster Footballer of the Year.
Danielle, who transferred from Cliftonville Ladies to Burnley in February, scored 11 goals in the treble trophy triumph that saw the Reds lift last season’s VBet League Cup and Electric Ireland Women’s Irish Cup either side of completing an invincible Sports Direct Premiership campaign in which they won every single game en route to the title.
Following on from Caitlin McGuinness and Marissa Callaghan in 2023 and 2024 respectively, Danielle is the third player in a row to have been awarded the prestigious accolade for their exploits in a Cliftonville shirt.
Glentoran and NI international Kascie Weir was named the Women’s Young Player of the Year.
This is the first time an award has been given to a young player from the Women’s game meaning Kascie is the inaugural winner.
The Ulster Footballer of the Year Awards is considered the most prestigious of the end of season awards, running since 1950/51 and organised by the Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters Club, the winners are selected by an independent panel and sponsored by Audi.
