ANNA McAuley, from City of Lisburn AC, has recorded a consideration standard in the heptathlon for the 2026 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow.
Anna was competing in the Europol meeting in Poland and finished third with a new personal best of 5621 points. This also puts her fourth on the Irish all-time list.
In the European Team Championships in Madrid, Lauren Roy, formerly with City of Lisburn, competed in the 200m where she ran 23.32 for fifth position.
Lauren, who has taken her sprinting to a new level while on a scholarship to the USA, also featured in the 4x100m relay.
The conditions were a scorching 35C which made Roisin Flanagan’s (Finn Valley AC) 16:04.21 in the 5000m all the more impressive. She finished sixth.
