THE Ladies Gaelic Football Association has announced the teams bidding to become 2025 Interfirms champions – with unprecedented interest in this year’s event.
All roads lead to the GAA’s National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown, Dublin, on Saturday, October 11, with 10 teams signed up to compete for the top prize.
In addition, 22 teams have signed up to take part in a recreational blitz, where no matter what the level, experience or ability, teams will play lots of football, socialise with each other and have fun.
The teams competing in the competitive section of the LGFA Interfirms blitz will battle it out for the Cup and Shield titles on offer.
PWC will aim to retain the title they won last year, as they compete once again in the competitive section.
Winners previously in 2022, PWC returned to the podium in 2024 to collect the silverware on offer, and on the back of winning all seven fixtures on the day.
Looking ahead, Ladies Gaelic Football Association President, Trina Murray, commented: “It’s a pleasure to welcome teams from across the country to this special event. Whether you’re competing at competitive level, or simply enjoying the game at a recreational level, the LGFA Interfirms is about connection, camaraderie, and celebrating Ladies Football as part of a team.
“The spirit of this blitz lies in participation, teamwork, and fun—values at the heart of our Association. Best of luck to all teams, and thank you for your continued support and passion for the game. Bainigí taitneamh as an lá! Go n-éirí libh!”
