Sister act… a Foster family affair as three sisters create history at Morton Games

Kirsti Foster

IT was a Foster family affair at the iconic Morton Games at Santry stadium in Dublin where sisters Lucy, Kirsti and Jodi Foster finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively in the Jerry Kiernan Foundation women’s U/20 mile.

Gemma Galvin (Ennis TC) won in a time of 4.53 with Eimear McCarroll (Finn Valley) 2nd, followed by the Foster sisters.  This is the first time three siblings have featured in a junior race at the Morton Games.  They were all in resplendent in the blue and white stripes of Willowfield Temperance Harriers.

There may well be more to come from the Fosters as younger siblings, Kari and Lily, are also excellent runners and Jay has just begun competing too.
