EXCEL Dance Company, from Newtownards, have once again qualified for the Dance World Cup finals.
The dancers from Co Down’s Dance School of the Year are extremely excited to take to the world stage once again this summer to represent Northern Ireland.
The finals of the largest dance competition in the world will take place in Dublin from July 8-18, 2026 and Excel Dance Company will be taking a strong squad of over 80 dancers, who will compete in approximately 80 entries across all genres, including Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Commercial, Musical Theatre and Contemporary.
The squad of finalists includes children from as young as 5 years old to adults aged 25 years old.
This incredibly talented squad of dancers will be led by two highly experienced Creative Directors, Brooke Porter and Lynda Spiers.
In previous years, Excel Dance Company dancers have had much success competing at an International level, winning medals at the Dance World Cup and other global competitions including the IDO World Championships and the Global Dance Open finals and hope to have much of the same success this summer in Dublin.
As with all opportunities of this calibre, there is a huge financial burden placed upon families who wish to support their children and help them to follow their dreams.
With this in mind, Excel are actively seeking sponsorship from local businesses and organisations who will be promoted on team flags, tracksuits and other branding. They will also be featured heavily across our social media which attracts more than 12,000 followers.
