PORTADOWN were the only Ulster winners on Day 2 of the Women’s EYHL double header as Pegasus, Queen’s University and Ulster Elks all tasted defeat.
Catholic Institute inflicted a second loss of the weekend on Railway Union, picking up crucial points in their bid for survival while also allowing Loreto to extend their lead at the top of the table following their win away to Ulster Elks.
UCD made it a second win from two of the weekend with their victory over Pegasus to climb into third thanks to a Pembroke win over Queen’s University. Portadown held out to beat Old Alex in Edenvilla to remain within a point of the EY Champions Trophy places.
