IT’S a long way to Tipperary but the journey back to Banbridge seemed short with an extra ‘passenger’ on board.
Four wins from four games and no goals conceded – that was the proud record of Banbridge Academy U14 hockey XI as they triumphed in the All Ireland June Smith Cup competition in Tipperary.
On their way to the trophy, they recorded wins over Salerno (1-0), Muckross (1-0), Kilkenny (3-0) and Ursulines (2-0).
