LARNE Women picked up their first win of the campaign with a comprehensive defeat of Derry City Women at the Brandywell.

Sasha Clare edged the visitors in front on 20 minutes before, just a couple of minutes after that, Laura Dowey put the ball in her own net to double Larne’s advantage.

Aimee-Lee Peachey added a third on 37 minutes as Daniel Carlisle’s side went in at the break in a commanding position.

They extended their lead early in the second half when Cate Toland turned home City’s second own goal of the evening and whilst Shannon Dunne did reduce the deficit just after the hour there was no way back for the Candystripes.
