NORTHERN Ireland defender Rebecca Holloway has signed a two-year contract extension with Birmingham City in the Women’s Super League.
The 29-year-old has committed her future with a deal that keeps her at the club until at least June 2027.
Over her two spells at Blues she has made 97 appearances for the club.
Speaking on the extension, Holloway said: “I’m delighted to have extended my time with this special club. There is so much more I want to do in blue.”
Holloway began her career at Bristol City before moving to Cumberland Phoenix in Tennessee, where she was named Mid-South Conference Player of the Year two years running.
After this success, she headed to Nashville Rhythm, making 11 outings for the Women’s Premier Soccer League side before joining Blues.
Initially putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal in 2019, Holloway extended the stay by an extra 12 months, opting to embark on a second spell in the States in 2022 with Racing Louisville.
She then rejoined Blues in January 2024.
Her international career has seen her win 35 Northern Ireland caps, scoring three goals, since her debut in February 2021 against England.
