NI netball coach Sheonah Forbes takes on assistant’s role at Nottingham

NORTHERN Ireland Warriors international netball coach Sheonah Forbes has been announced as assistant coach of Nottingham Forest Netball as they prepare for their first SuperLeague season.

Forbes joins the Forest first team staff alongside head coach Chelsea Pitman and brings a wealth of experience from her 20-year coaching career including national and international roles.

Prior to taking up her role with the NI Warriors, Forbes previously spent a large amount of her time coaching in the England performance Pathway.

Sheonah said: “I am very excited to be assistant coach alongside Chelsea this season, embracing a fantastic new franchise, brand and culture at Nottingham Forest.

“Being part of an NSL set up was a personal goal I have been working towards for a few years, with my values aligning to Chelsea’s and the vision she exudes, it was a no brainer to jump on board.”

Netball NI said on their social media: “Thrilled to see our Warriors Head Coach Sheonah Forbes coaching in SuperLeague netball this season. You’ll be amazing and a new team for us to support.”
