NI and Ulster’s Kate O’Connor, Arlene Crossan and Rachel McCann head for Holland with Ireland team for European Indoor Championships

THREE NI & Ulster women athletes have been selected for the Irish team to compete at the European Indoor Championships in the Netherlands from March 6-9.

They are Arlene Crossan (Finn Valley AC) in the 4x400m women’s relay, Rachel McCann (North Down AC) in the 4x400m women’s relay and mixed relay and Newry’s Dundalk-based Kate O’Connor  (pentathlon).

Following her huge NI and Irish Pentathlon record in Tallinn last month, Kate will be looking to improve on her 9th place performance in Istanbul which was the 2023 edition of these championships. 

Meanwhile, the Northern Ireland women’s team for 2025 Inter-counties Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Park, Nottingham is:
