A Mid-Ulster Select U12 Girls team, made up of players from Magherafelt, Maghera and Castledawson, have won a tournament in Spain, winning all six of their games, scoring 10 goals and conceding none!
The players, attached to Moyola Bluebelles, Crusaders and Linfield, attend St Pius College, Magherafelt, Rainey Endowed and Magherafelt High School, were led to Salou by coach Owen Murray of Murray Fitness & Football.
Their remarkable run of results began in the group stage with wins over Cork (2-0), Scotland (3-0), Down (1-0) and England (1-0).
Another single goal win over England in the semi-final set up a final clash with Scotland and the Mid-Ulster girls continued their winning run with a 2-0 victory.
