NETBALL Northern Ireland have announced the NI Warriors squad, captained by Michelle Magee, that will be travelling to Glasgow to compete in the second Celtic Cupinvolving five other nations. A 15-strong squad has been selected for this opportunity to represent Northern Ireland in a 5-day test match competition.
The competition will be hosted at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, running from November 26-30. Competing teams are Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and invitational teams from Namibia, Uganda and Zimbabwe, all competing at the highest level in an elite international showcase of competitive netball.
Sheonah Forbes, NI Warriors Head Coach: said: “We are looking forward to travelling to Glasgow to compete in the Celtic Cup for the second year running, with the addition of Uganda and Namibia joining the competition.
“This event serves as a key building block towards the 2026 Commonwealth Games, providing valuable experience against some of the top nations in the world and helping to strengthen partnerships within the squad. It’s exciting to see the tournament grow for the second consecutive year, and we look forward to bringing our Warriors style as we compete against the best.”
