PORTADOWN College were crowned the Girls’ Under-16 Cup champions after they were the 1-0 victors of a tight encounter against Kilkeel High on Irish FA schools finals day at Windsor Park.
The only goal of the game came after eight minutes when Mia Rooney’s close range effort proved enough to mean that it was Portadown lifting the Girls’ Under-16 trophy.
