LINFIELD Women manager Ryan McConville has been awarded a two-year contract extension, taking him up to the end of the 2026 season.
McConville rejoined Linfield as manager in November 2023, six years after leaving the Women’s Premiership club.
He resigned from his role as Lisburn boss to replace Phil Lewis.
In his previous spell in charge, McConville guided Linfield to three league titles as well as the Irish Cup, League Cup and County Antrim Cup.
Linfield finished fifth in the Women’s Premiership in the 2023 season, 18 points adrift of champions Glentoran.
McConville has had a long coaching career in the women’s game in Northern Ireland, starting at Newry City before his successful stint at Linfield.
After managing in Scotland with Forfar Farmington as well as in China and Kenya, he returned to Northern Ireland with Sion Swifts in 2021.
He had a brief seven game spell in charge of Derry City before taking over at Lisburn in July, guiding them to sixth in the Women’s Premiership table in only their second season in the top-flight.
In extending his present contract, Linfield clearly believe he is back on track to repeating his previous success at the club.
