LARNE Women’s triple award winning key player Sasha Clare has signed her first professional contract with the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership club.
Sasha, who joined the club in 2023, having previously been with Glentoran and the Crusaders’ Academy, has proven to be a standout performer in the Larne squad – and has now committed her future to the Inver Reds.
At the club awards evening last season, Sasha Clare picked up no less than three awards on the night, winning Player of The Year, Player’s Player of The Year and Goal of The Season, highlighting her role as a key member of the playing squad.
The ever-present left-back becomes the fourth member of Daniel Carlisle’s squad to sign on professional terms, following in the footsteps of Hollie Johnston, Cerys Sharkey and Erin Montgomery.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Sasha said: “I have been aiming for years to get a professional deal, and especially since I first came to Northern Ireland.
“I have loved every minute of my time here at Inver Park, there is a great relationship between the players and the coaching staff, and I have really enjoyed the atmosphere here.”
Manager Daniel Carlisle praised Sasha’s commitment, adding: “Sasha’s professional contract is a reward for the attitude and performances she has consistently shown.
“She is a natural leader both on and off the pitch, and we believe this is just the beginning for her as she continues to set the standards for those around her.”
Sasha’s signing marks another significant step in the development of Larne Women, as the club continues to build and invest for the future.
