GLENTORAN Women returned to the top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership with a victory over Larne Women at Inver Park that leaves them two points clear of second-placed Linfield on the same number of games played with Cliftonville lurking in third with games in hand.
The visitors moved in front with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock through Kascie Weir, with the 18-year-old doubling her tally for the evening less than 10 minutes after that.
Substitute Ellie Butler, on at the break for Rachel Rogan, made her impact felt almost straightaway with a third for the Glens before Demi Vance knocked home number four from the spot on 50 minutes.
Larne bagged a consolation midway through the second half when Aimee-Lee Peachey got past the defence to finish well.

Meanwhile, defender Aimee Neal has completed a move from Glentoran to SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division side Shamrock Rovers.
The 20-year-old centre back from Fivemiletown joined Glentoran Women ahead of the 2024 season from Sion Swifts, where she enjoyed League Cup success and featured in the 2022 Electric Ireland Cup Final against the Glens.
