QUEEN’S University ladies football team are celebrating their first trophy win after a 2-0 victory over Maynooth in the WSCAI Intervarsity final.
Niamh O’Donnell was awarded Player of the Match straight from representing Northern Ireland U19s in their European championship qualifying tournament in Spain.
Captain Aine Ruth summed up their delight at the achievement, saying: “I’m very proud of how far this team has come over the past couple of years. I am so grateful for this experience, seeing the push to succeed and how much it means to the girls. And a big shoutout to Andy and Adam, our two coaches!”
