Have your say in Ulster University study into cost of living crisis effect on young sportspeople

RESEARCHERS at Ulster University are investigating the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on access to sport and physical activity opportunities for children and young people.

As part of their research, the University researchers need parents of children aged 4-16 years to complete a short, anonymous survey on sport and physical activity opportunities for children and young people during the cost-of-living crisis. You cand find it at:

The University is really keen that a diverse range of people from across NI have their voice heard and this project will for the first time, outline how the cost-of-living crisis is impacting on the sport and physical activity opportunities for children in NI. A spokesperson said: “We know already that in NI many children fail to meet physical activity guidelines and the data we collect will be important for making recommendations on how to maintain children’s access to physical activity during periods of economic downturn.”
