FOLLOWING her victory in the Irish Senior Women’s Amateur Close Championship at Kilkeel, Belvoir Park’s Gail Linter is poised to lead the charge for Ireland at the European Senior Team Championships in Slovenia on September 3-7.
Gail defeated Deirdre Smith in the final of the Irish Senior Women’s Amateur Close.
Laura Webb, of Royal Portrush, is the other Ulsterwoman on the team, captained by Marilyn Henderson of Royal Belfast.

Meanwhile, Fintona claimed the AIG Women’s Minor Foursomes Ulster North title with a 3 to 1 victory over Portstewart at Banbridge.
The Banbridge club hosted and won the AIG Women’s Minor Foursomes Ulster South title with a 3 to 1 victory over Shandon Park and they and Fintona now progress to the All Ireland quarter-finals of their competitions.
