KELLY Crompton put the icing on the cake of her birthday celebrations with a double strike as Glentoran Women booked their place in the last four of the County Antrim Cup in emphatic fashion, sweeping aside Cliftonville Ladies 6–0 at Solitude.
The holders blew the Women’s Premiership champions away with a relentless first-half display, racing into a 5–0 lead before the break and adding a sixth in the second half to complete a dominant performance in north Belfast.
Emma McMaster set the tone with a stunning long-range strike to open the scoring, before Kelly Crompton volleyed home from close range to double the advantage.
Aimee Kerr made it three soon after, and Mia Moore pounced in the box to add a fourth following a corner. Crompton struck again on the stroke of half-time to leave the Glens in total control.
The scoring was completed midway through the second half when Aoibhe O’Neill diverted Demi Vance’s dangerous cross into her own net, sealing a statement victory for Kim Turner’s side.
