Cliftonville and Glentoran will compete in this year’s County Antrim Shield final after being the convincing victors in their semi-final clashes.
Cliftonville advanced to their second final of the season by defeating Linfield Women 2-0 at Midgley Park.
The holders took the lead on the 27th minute when Abbie Magee’s strike from 20-yards found the back of the net.
Just before the break Cliftonville stopper Erin McAllister made an impressive save to stop Keri Halliday’s strike.
Caitlin McGuinness doubled the Reds’ lead just past the hour mark when she headed home Marissa Callaghan’s cross.
Cliftonville continued to push with Louise McDaniel’s header being denied by the crossbar before Danielle Maxwell’s shot also crashed off the bar.
In tonight’s other semi-final Sophie Megaw gave Lisburn Rangers the lead on 32 minutes.
However two goals in two minutes by Demi Vance put the Glens ahead at the break.
Vance secured her hat-trick from the penalty spot on 53 minutes before Rachel Rogan made it 4-1.
The goals weren’t done there with Nadene Caldwell netting and Emily Wilson converting a penalty before the full-time whistle to mean the Glens were the 6-1 winners.
