CAVAN star Sinéad Greene has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for February 2025.
The 32-year-old Templeport St Aidan’s player has been in superb form for a Cavan team currently sitting proudly on top of Division 3 of the Lidl National Football League.
The Breffni County were relegated from Division 2 last year but could be on course for a swift return to the second tier.
They currently sit top of the pile on twelve points with two rounds of group fixtures remaining, two clear of Wexford and Laois. The top two teams in Division 3 will earn promotion to Division 2, and contest a divisional final on Sunday April 13.
Cavan played three League fixtures in March, winning two of them against Carlow and Down.
Operating from wing back, Sinéad scored three points against Carlow on February 9 in a comfortable win and her form has been one of the key reasons why Cavan are in the promotion mix.
They resume Lidl NFL action on Sunday March 23 with a trip to Laois, where victory could wrap up promotion.
Sinéad, a vastly experienced player for Cavan, was presented with her award (below) today by Olivia Colgan, Business Development Executive, The Croke Park Hotel.
