THE Camogie Association’s Annual Congress was held on Saturday, 28th March in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry.

During proceedings, Uachtarán Brian Molloy spoke about the integration of the three Gaelic games Associations: “Ní neart go cur le chéile. Together, we are stronger. If we work together, with purpose, with openness, and with belief, we can deliver something transformative for our members and for our collective future.

“Let us grasp this opportunity, commit fully to the journey ahead, and ensure that when future generations look back, they will thank us for the decisions we make now.”

Meanwhile, Ailish Whitty has been declared as Uachtarán Tofa an Chumainn Camógaíochta, having ran unopposed.

A native of Galway settled in Wexford, Ailish Whitty had a distinguished 40-year professional career in health leadership.

Her commitment to the Association spans over 25 years as a player, coach, and administrator.

A member of Rathgarogue/Cushinstown GAA, she served as the National Coaching and Games representative on Ard Chomhairle (2017–2020), where she successfully integrated foundation coaching across the three codes and revised intercounty juvenile competitions.

She is in her third year as the Leinster delegate to Ard Chomhairle and a member of the governance subcommittee.

There were 22 motions brought to Congress.

Membership rules were introduced in regards to Social Camogie, the U23 grade was brought into rule, and the Association’s streaming policy was adopted.
