CONGRATULATIONS to three-times Irish Olympic badminton competitor, Chloe Magee, on her wedding to Packie Mailey.

As the country’s top female badminton player, Donegal-born Chloe represented Ireland at three consecutive Olympic Games at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio de Janiero 2016. At the 2008 Games in Beijing, Chloe became the first Irish woman to win a badminton match at the Olympics.
She has been described as “the poster girl for Irish badminton”
Together with her brother, Sam, she clinched a bronze medal at the 2017 European Championships, becoming Ireland’s first medallists at that level. The pair also captured bronze medals at the 2015 and 2019 European Games.
