KATIE Graham and her Lagan Valley U20 women’s team were the standout Northern Ireland performers at the European Clubs Cross Country Championships, held in Albufeira Portugal.
With 22 countries and 68 clubs competing from all over Europe, the competition was of a very high standard.
Lagan Valley U20 women’s team achievec the highest finishing position of the NI clubs with 8th place in their race. Katie Graham was first home for the team in 22nd place.
Locally Annadale Striders held their annual cross-country fixture, the Malcolm Cup at Ormeau Park. North Belfast Harriers won the women’s team race with Willowfield’s Emily Morris taking the individual title. Derry Spartans’ Angeline McShane finished second, 11 second behind Emily.
