TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship
Group 1 – Armagh v Meath; BOX-IT Athletic Grounds – Live on Spórt TG4 YouTube
Armagh’s gripping Ulster Senior Final victory over Donegal came at a real cost – as the Orchard County lost star forward Aimee Mackin to a season-ending knee ligament injury.
How manager Greg McGonigle copes without Mackin will be interesting to note – and her absence is a severe dent to the county’s TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship hopes.
The reigning Lidl NFL Division 1 champions will still be extremely competitive however, but they’re also without Louise Kenny, who also went off injured in the provincial final win.
McGonigle brings in Sarah Quigley and Niamh Reel to replace Kenny and Mackin, as he makes two changes in personnel to his starting line-up.
Visitors Meath, All-Ireland Senior champions in 2021 and 2022, suffered a heavy defeat to Dublin in the Leinster Final but will attack the All-Ireland series with relish.
There’s one change to the team that lined out at Croke Park, with Meadhbh Byrne coming in up front for Ella Moyles.

TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship
Group 2 – Donegal v Kerry; MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey, 1.05pm – Live on TG4
Donegal gave a fine account of themselves in the Ulster Final against Armagh, narrowly losing out after extra-time.
Now, they face high-class opposition once again in the form of Kerry, the beaten 2022 and 2023 TG4 All-Ireland Senior champions and recently crowned Munster queens.
Donegal have made one switch to the team that started against Armagh for this All-Ireland championship opener, with Tara White coming in for Jenny McGettigan.
Having landed the Munster A title for the first time since 2017 with victory over Cork, the Kerry team to begin their All-Ireland group campaign shows three changes in personnel.
There are starts for goalkeeper Ciara Butler, defender Aoife Dillane and ace forward Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh, who made a big impact off the bench in the come from behind victory over Cork, when the Kingdom produced a big second half display.

Cork suffered relegation from Division 1 of the Lidl NFL but bounced back to perform well in Munster.
The Leesiders reached the provincial final and were motoring well in the first half, before Kerry came on strong in Mallow.
Cork boss Shane Ronayne has opted for three changes in personnel for the trip to Portlaoise, as Shauna Kelly, Sadbh McGoldrick and Lydia McDonagh come in for Dara Kiniry, Sarah Leahy and Lydia McDonagh.
It’s been a tough season to date for Laois, who were relegated from Division 2 before losing all three group games in the Leinster senior championship.
The O’Moore County will hope to stay afloat in the elite championship grade but it won’t be easy for them in the group stages as this pool also contains Galway.
The Laois team that lost out to Kildare shows five changes – with captain Clodagh Dunne, Kate Jacob, Andrea Moran, Orla Hennessy and Aishling Fitzpatrick all handed starts.

Dublin are the reigning champions and with huge strength in depth, they’ll start as favourites to land the Brendan Martin Cup once again.
The Sky Blues issued a statement of intent with an impressive Leinster Final victory over Meath and as they prepare for the start of the All-Ireland series, on home soil at Parnell Park, manager Mick Bohan has made two changes to his starting line-up, with Aoife Kane and Grace Kós coming in for Jessica Tobin and Olwen Carey.

Marrinan claimed the ZuCar Golden boot award as top scorer in the 2023 TG4 All-Ireland series and she’s out in front again after the opening weekend of 2024 games.
This is a first outing of the All-Ireland series for Offaly, who missed out on a Leinster Final slot.
The Faithful County did show encouraging form in the provincial series, however, beating Wicklow and drawing against Westmeath.
