All Ireland hockey round-up… Pegasus and Ulster Elks are facing up to fights against relegation

ULSTER Elks and Pegasus are facing relegation battles in the EYHL All Ireland women’s hockey Division 1 after weekend defeats.

Elks’ 5-0 home loss to Dubliners Railway Union mean they drop to seventh in the league table and now sit just three points above the relegation zone.

Pegasus dropped into the relegation zone as they lost 3-2 at home to UCD.

In EYHL2, Ards, who drew 0-0 away to recently crowned Leinster Division 1 champions Muckross at Donnybrook, and Lurgan, have one game each left to play.

Both sides could still finish as high as second with just two points separating them going into the final game.
