ARMAGH’S Lauren McConville has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for April 2024.

The Crossmaglen Rangers player (29), was superb for the Orchard County as they created history by landing the Lidl National League Division 1 title for the very first time with victory over Kerry at Croke Park in the April 7 decider.

Lauren, operating from centre half back, produced a player of the match performance against the Kingdom to cap a stellar campaign.

Lauren was subsequently named on the Lidl NFL Division 1 Team of the League for 2024, having made her 100th appearance for Armagh when Gregory McGonigle’s charges clinched a Division 1 League Final place by defeating Mayo in the group stages in March.

Lauren and Armagh will now switch their focus to next Sunday’s TG4 Ulster Senior Championship Final against holders Donegal in Clones, a game that will have a 3.30pm start.

Lauren was presented with her award today by Edele O’Reilly, Director of Sales and Marketing, The Croke Park Hotel.
