THE Sports Direct Women’s Premiership resumed following a short break, with victories for Glentoran Women, Cliftonville Ladies, Linfield Women and Lisburn Rangers.
Defending champions Glentoran maintained their strong start to the campaign with a 4-2 success away to Crusaders Strikers.
Gracie Conway was the star of the show, netting a hat-trick, while Aimee Kerr was also on target for the Glens.
Conway opened the scoring before setting up Kerr to double the visitors’ advantage, and added a second before the break.
Crusaders fought back through Mia Fitzsimmons and Rebecca Mann, but Conway completed her treble deep into stoppage time to secure the points.
Cliftonville Ladies also enjoyed a productive evening as they defeated Derry City Women 5-1 at Solitude.
Hannah Doherty gave the Reds an early lead before second-half goals from Victoria Carleton and Doherty appeared to put the game beyond reach.Chelsea Scott pulled one back for Derry, but late strikes from Kirsty and Caitlin McGuinness made sure of an ultimately emphatic win for the Reds.
There were goals galore at Midgley Park where Linfield Women ran out comprehensive 8-1 winners over Lisburn Ladies.
Eve Reilly and Cora Chambers shared seven of the Blues’ eight goals, with Reilly claiming a hat-trick and Chambers helping herself to four.
Megan Bell was also on target for Linfield, while Hayley Jones scored a consolation for the visitors.
Meanwhile, Lisburn Rangers swept to a 3-0 win away to Larne Women. Helen Parker gave Rangers the perfect start with a goal inside the opening minute before Ellie-Mae Dickson struck in each half to complete the scoring and seal a comfortable win for the visitors.
