Pegasus, Elks, Queen’s and Portadown all have incentives to sign off on a winning note in last round of EY All Ireland Hockey League fixtures before the mid-season break… where to find the action

Portadown are eyeing Champions Trophy spot

THE EY Hockey League returns this weekend with a full slate of fixtures as sides look to make vital progress before the mid-season break in Round 10 of the EYHL.

The only all-Ulster match features Pegasus against Ulster Elks at The Dub while Queen’s University travel to Rosbrien to face a Catholic Institute side looking to build on their impressive victory over Railway Union last weekend.

UCD, buoyed by two wins from two last weekend, travel to Portadown as the home side eye a breakthrough into Champions Trophy positions before the mid-season pause.

At Park Avenue, Railway Union face a stern test as they welcome the reigning champions Loreto. The hosts will hope to reignite their form and end the champions’ unbeaten run in what promises to be a fiery Dublin rivalry.

Old Alex, coming off a crucial win of their own last Saturday, make the trip to Serpentine Avenue to take on Pembroke Wanderers as they aim to pull clear of the lower end of the table.
