BALLYCLARE-based Hagan Homes has announced its sponsorship of Grace Davison, the Irish international swimmer from Bangor, who made her Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games.

The partnership will see Hagan Homes support Grace over the next two years, providing essential funding towards her training and development as she prepares for the next Olympic Games, in Los Angeles, 2028.

Grace, who trains with Ards Swimming Club and splits her time between the Ards Leisure Centre and Bangor Aurora, has been making waves in the international swimming scene since the age of 14. Her impressive track record includes seven Irish Junior Records, two Ulster Senior Records, eleven Ulster Junior Records, three Irish Senior Relay Records, and two Ulster Senior Relay Records.

At just 17 years old, she has already represented Ireland and Northern Ireland on multiple prestigious platforms, including the Commonwealth Games, European Championships, and World Swimming Championships.

The partnership between Hagan Homes and Grace is built on shared values of commitment, determination, and the pursuit of excellence, Founder and Chair of Hagan Homes, James Hagan said.

He added: “We are incredibly proud to support Grace as she continues to excel in her swimming career. Her dedication to her sport and her achievements at such a young age are truly inspiring. At Hagan Homes, we believe in nurturing talent and supporting our local communities. Grace embodies the spirit of perseverance and excellence that we value, and we are excited to be part of her journey towards the next Olympics.”

Grace’s recent performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics showcased her potential on the world stage. Competing in the Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay, her team finished 13th overall, setting a new Irish Senior Record.

Grace said: “Competing at the Paris Olympics was a dream come true and an incredible learning experience. Setting a new Irish Senior Record with my teammates in the 4×100 Medley Relay was a proud moment, and it has fuelled my determination to continue improving and representing Ireland on the global stage. I’m already focused on the next four years, with my sights set on the Los Angeles Games in 2028.”

The sponsorship from Hagan Homes will be instrumental in Grace’s preparations for upcoming competitions, the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow and the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. The funding will help her access essential support services, including coaching, strength and conditioning, dietetics, physiotherapy, sports psychology, and physiology, which are crucial for competing at the highest level.

Speaking about the partnership, Grace said: “I am so grateful to Hagan Homes for their support over the next two years. This sponsorship will make a significant difference in my ability to train and compete at the highest level. Having the backing of a respected local company like Hagan Homes means a lot to me, and I’m excited to represent them as I work towards my goals in swimming.”

Grace’s dedication to her sport is evident in her numerous accomplishments, including a gold medal in the 400 Individual Medley and a silver in the 200 Individual Medley at the 2023 Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad, as well as a bronze medal in the 100 Freestyle at the 2024 European Junior Championships in Lithuania.

Her achievements highlight her as one of Ireland’s brightest swimming talents, and with the support of Hagan Homes, she is well-positioned to continue her upward trajectory in the sport.

James Hagan added: “We are delighted to play a part in her journey and look forward to celebrating her future successes. Supporting local talent like Grace is at the heart of what we do, and we are excited to see what the future holds for her.”
